Random Lake is located in the Village of Random Lake, Town of Sherman, Sheboygan County. Random Lake is a medium-sized drainage eutrophic lake of rather shallow depths. It is an irregular shaped lake with a smaller north portion and larger southern portion. It has a surface area of 212.0 acres and a water volume of 1,279 acre-feet at a surface water elevation of 867.64 feet above the mean sea level.
The mean depth of the lake is 6 feet with two deep areas. One on the north end of the lake at 10' and one at the south end of the lake at 22'. There are 91 feet of shoreline per acre of water. There are 126 homes built on Random Lake shoreline and more planned. There is no commercial business on the shoreline.
The lake has a park with a public beach, picnic tables, playground, public piers, and an open-air pavilion with bathrooms that is rented by the Village of Random Lake for various public and private events. There are adequate parking spaces for cars and trailers. There is a launch fee of $8.00 non-resident/$5.00 resident. There is a handicap-accessible public pier for fishing located west of the park and is used to sponsor fishing lessons for school children.
